Due to illness it has not been
possible for me to add new paintings, but hopefully this will change
soon. Please do not let this stop you from browsing my gallery and
leaving a note, if you wish, in the guest book.
At
present my collection is not very large, however, it is updated
as soon as new paintings are ready. I do not specialize in any particular
subject and will paint anything that takes my fancy. Though I painted
in oils many years ago, my medium now is mainly watercolour and
occasional pen and ink.
I
was born 1941 in Arnold, Nottinghamshire, UK and have been keen
on art from a very young age. I passed a scholarship at the age
of 12 years to go to the Nottingham Technical School of Art. This
gave me the opportunity to be taught some of the finer skills and
techniques that would have been required should I have chosen to
enter the art profession. At the age of 15 years I decided not to
make it my career and instead entered the engineering profession.
I studied electronics and became a design engineer with a local
company. My work took me to many places around the world and although
it was very demanding it was also very rewarding. In September 2000
I retired early due to ill health. It was the ideal time for me
to take up my passion again and so joined the Arnold Art Society
the same year.
Commissions
I
undertake commissions quite regularly, with most subjects considered.
An email is suggested to establish subject matter, size, price,
deadlines etc.
Prints
High
resolution prints are available and reproduced on heavy acid free
art card, with border to assist in framing.
A
mail order service is available, with unframed prints dispatched
in large diameter tubing.
