This pen and ink drawing with a watercolour wash was sketched and painted during an invited day visit to Staunton Hall, near Newark. The Hall and gardens are privately owned and are very well hidden in the countryside. The building from this side has extensive views of open fields. I would have loved more time there so that I could have captured it from other angles and from further away. However that was not to be, but what a treasure!!
